Which means the first five chapters (and some later material) of this story were about the 3rd piece of fanfiction I ever wrote. It was right before Gaza/Memorial Day and, well, as some of you who've read my work before know I got a little busy writing stories about those episodes. I always meant to return to this story immediately. That April I even sent all the finished chapters to Kim for beta so I could begin posting, but I procrastinated. I guess over two years should be considered more than procrastinating. This is also actually the second story I started at that time with this basic premise. (maybe someday I'll finish that one as well) NOTE3: Speaking of premise, I know the fabulous Jen Wilson recently wrote a story with a similar set-up, but I promise I didn't steal the idea from her story. This really has been sitting on my hard drive for two years. I've refrained from reading hers until I finished mine (that was incentive to try and finish this story, so I can finally read it!) but Kim assured me that the stories are completely different once you get over the fact that Donna never rejoined the campaign and shows up a few years later. Hope you find this one worth reading.
